Springfield won the last time they faced Mt. Pulaski and things went their way on Thursday too. The Senators walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hilltoppers.

The victory didn't come easy: Mt. Pulaski scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21.

Rachel Becker paced Springfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Becker got some help from Franny VonDeBur and her seven assists. Finally, Angel Efe Nogo kept Springfield's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Springfield is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Mt. Pulaski, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Springfield has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hartsburg-Emden on the 11th. As for Mt. Pulaski, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lanphier on the 13th.
