The Palo Verde Titans entered their tilt with the Safford Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Palo Verde secured a 47-42 W over Safford on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Palo Verde also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Daniel Ortiz was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrain Powers, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Palo Verde is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which somehow isn't as good as their 16-5 record this season. As for Safford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-6.
Palo Verde will head out on the road to challenge Thatcher at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thatcher knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Palo Verde likes a good challenge. As for Safford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Globe at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
