The Benjamin Buccaneers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Grandview Prep Pride at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Benjamin strolled past Pine with points to spare, taking the game 59-43.
Benjamin's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jacob Cosby-Mosley, who scored 19 points, and Drew Buchanan, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Hudson Byrne was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Grandview Prep beat Park Vista 62-50 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Grandview Prep.
Grandview Prep can attribute much of their success to Aeris Lawson, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marco Jordonne, who scored 12 points.
The losses dropped Benjamin to 1-2 and Pine to 0-2.
Benjamin took a serious blow against Grandview Prep in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, falling 75-44. Will Benjamin have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
