The Wolfson Wolfpack will square off against the South Lake Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Wolfson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Wolfson earned a 5-1 victory over Coral Springs.

Aiden Hallowes looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Wolfson: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Wolfson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaydin Morrissey, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another was Noah Barnett, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Wolfson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, South Lake unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Christ's Church Academy by a score of 2-1.

Josiah Florence spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

South Lake's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Wolfson, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

South Lake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wolfson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .437.
