Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Swink). They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 54-20 win over the Walsenburg Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Lions have posted since January 19, 2024.

Swink was led to victory by Jocelynn James and Madelyn Bamber. James posted 13 points along with seven steals and six assists, while Bamber dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 boards. James has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played. Brianna Brusuelas was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Swink smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 34 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Swink's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Walsenburg, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Swink wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-25 defeat against Hoehne on the 28th. Walsenburg has also already played their next match, a 53-11 loss against Las Animas on the 24th.
