Taravella has gone a perfect 6-0 against South Broward recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. South Broward took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Taravella, who comes in off a win.
Taravella is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Pompano Beach with a sharp 13-2 victory on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
John Almeida looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Taravella got a massive performance out of JC Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave Martinez a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Anthony Toizol, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Taravella was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pompano Beach only posted a batting average of .333.
Meanwhile, South Broward suffered their closest defeat since March 10th on Monday. They fell just short of South Plantation by a score of 8-6.
Keniel Marrero was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. He is also on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Lucas Pereda was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
South Broward's loss dropped their record down to 9-12-1. As for Taravella, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
Everything went Taravella's way against South Broward in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Taravella made off with a 9-2 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
