1 of 1 Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. 1 of 1 Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 336 points over their last five games.
Even though Varsity Opponent scored an imposing 69 points on Wednesday, 1 of 1 Academy still came out on top. 1 of 1 Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Varsity Opponent and snuck past 71-69.
1 of 1 Academy found their leader in underclassman Yohance Conner, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayeshaun Smith, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Westminster Catawba Christian pushed their score all the way to 73 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 80-73 to Lab University Prep, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, Westminster Catawba Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 116th in South Carolina, while Lab University Prep is ranked 16th in North Carolina).
1 of 1 Academy's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.8 points per game. As for Westminster Catawba Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 20-11 record this season.
