The Scituate Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Blackstone Valley Prep PRIDE at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Scituate focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
Scituate's recent rough patch got a bit rougher after their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 69-58 to Highlander Charter. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Scituate saw an underclassman step up: Ryan Larsh scored 23 points along with six rebounds. Cam Healey was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Blackstone Valley Prep didn't have too much trouble with Exeter-West Greenwich on the road on Tuesday as they won 60-43.
Scituate bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Blackstone Valley Prep, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Scituate was taken down by Blackstone Valley Prep 77-43 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Scituate avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
