The Goodwin Tech Gladiators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Grasso Tech by a score of 83-74. The victory was familiar territory for Goodwin Tech who now have four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Grasso Tech lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nick Stavesky. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stavesky has scored all season. Charis Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight assists and five steals.
Goodwin Tech's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Grasso Tech, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goodwin Tech won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Plainville at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Plainville is ranked 88th, while Goodwin Tech is ranked 87th). As for Grasso Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Vinal RVT at 6:00 p.m. Vinal RVT comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
