Shaktoolik faced Shishmaref in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Northern Lights. The win was nothing new for the Wolverines as they're now sitting on five straight.

While Shaktoolik might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Shishmaref scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-20.

Shaktoolik's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Shishmaref, with the defeat, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Shaktoolik does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shishmaref, they will be playing at home against White Mountain at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
