There's no place like home for the Refugio Bobcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over Skidmore-Tynan. This was payback for Refugio, who suffered a 32-30 loss the last time these two teams met.
Refugio got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bradi Fox-Smith out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. Ja'zae-Lynne Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Refugio's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10. As for Skidmore-Tynan, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Woodsboro the next time they take the court. Refugio will head out to face Woodsboro at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Skidmore-Tynan will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
