The Pettus Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by WINGS Homeschool Athletics on the road to the tune of 93-14. The win was some much needed relief for Pettus as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Pettus was led to victory by Ramon Reyna and Desmond Montoya. Reyna scored 27 points, while Montoya scored 31 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Reyna has scored at least 25% of Pettus' points. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Hernandez, who scored 13 points.
Pettus' victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-13. As for WINGS Homeschool Athletics, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Pettus will take on Runge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. WINGS Homeschool Athletics will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ben Bolt at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th.
