Last Friday, King Academy was fully in charge, breezing past Community Christian Academy 58-14 on the road. With King Academy ahead 36-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Wardlaw Academy faced Richard Winn Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Wardlaw Academy fell 38-30 to Richard Winn Academy on Friday.
Despite the defeat, Wardlaw Academy had strong showings from Colt Bailey, who rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and Jesse Cleveland, who rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.0 yards per carry.
King Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season. As for Wardlaw Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
