The Georgetown Bulldogs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Dillon, falling 75-43. Georgetown has not had much luck with Dillon recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Georgetown saw an underclassman step up: Trenton Parker scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Austin Nesbit, who scored eight points.
Among those leading the charge was Ta'norre Monroe, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Zamaurious Robertson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Dillon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Georgetown will head out on the road to face off against Waccamaw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Waccamaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Dillon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Loris at 8:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Loris sitting on eight straight wins and Dillon on five.
