Seven Lakes stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 84-52 win over Mayde Creek at home. Given Seven Lakes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Mayde Creek is ranked 424th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Jordan made off with a 42-41 victory over Cinco Ranch.
Elijah Black and Rayan Fadika were among the main playmakers for Jordan as the former scored 16 points and the latter dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Oluokun, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Seven Lakes pushed their record up to 27-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. As for Jordan, their victory bumped their record up to 22-7.
Seven Lakes didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Jordan in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 50-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seven Lakes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
