Lebanon has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Southmont Mounties at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lebanon proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 21) but on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Covington 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Lebanon has posted yet this season.
Kaden Lark was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Lark is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Ferrell, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Southmont escaped with a win on Saturday against Crawfordsville by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53. The win made it back-to-back wins for Southmont.
Lebanon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Southmont, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Lebanon came out on top in a nail-biter against Southmont when the teams last played back in January of 2023, sneaking past 40-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lebanon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
