This season hasn't been kind to the Antonito Trojans, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were the victim of a rough 55-35 defeat at the hands of Cotopaxi on Friday. Antonito has not had much luck with Cotopaxi recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Antonito lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jasiah Jiron. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds. Jiron continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Octavian Martinez, who scored 9 points.
Antonito's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cotopaxi, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antonito will take on Lake City Community at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cotopaxi, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Lake County at 5:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Lake County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Saturday.
