The Poudre Community Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to Twin Peaks Charter Academy on the road by a decisive 43-29 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Poudre Community Academy in their matchups with Twin Peaks Charter Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Poudre Community Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joslyn Schaeffer, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That was a full 34.5% of Poudre Community Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was KeKe Martin, who scored four points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Leading Twin Peaks Charter Academy to victory were Ella Schauer and Rayn Ndow. Schauer scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Ndow scored 20 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ndow has scored all season.
Poudre Community Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Twin Peaks Charter Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poudre Community Academy will take on Golden View Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Twin Peaks Charter Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Ascent Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m.
