The Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers came tearing into  Monday's  contest with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a  54-48 W over Daniel. Given Blue Ridge's advantage  in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 25th, while Daniel is ranked 134th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Blue Ridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Anyah Henderson, who  scored 17 points along with seven  rebounds and five  assists. The team also got some help courtesy of  Helena danielle Earley, who  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and ten  rebounds.
 Daniel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Shala Williams, who  scored nine points along with seven  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Braelin Cumbie, who  scored 17 points.
 Blue Ridge pushed their record up to 6-1 with that  win, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Daniel, they now  have a losing record at 1-2.
 Blue Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Landrum at 6:00  p.m.  on December 5th. That game will pit two of the most dominant  guards against one another:  Savannah Brown and  Zikira henderson. As for Daniel, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on T.L. Hanna at 6:00  p.m.  on December 6th. Hopefully T.L. Hanna focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
