Ismael Duenas Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Amador Valley's Ismael Duenas, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Duenas' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 110 rushing yards. He also rushed for 305 rushing yards, which is notable because Amador Valley is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 4-5 otherwise.
Amador Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Duenas and Amador Valley will face off against Bishop O'Dowd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Dominic Kelley and Co. Win 12th in a Row
De La Salle picked up their 12th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Dominic Kelley. Kelley turned in his biggest game of the season, rushing for 173 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
On the year, Kelley has run in 16 touchdowns while averaging 66.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had ten rushing touchdowns.

Pleis Came Up Big in San Ramon Valley's 7-0 Win
San Ramon Valley picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kaleb Pleis. Pleis was dynamite, picking up two sacks, making six total tackles, and defending a pass.
San Ramon Valley pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Pleis and San Ramon Valley will take on Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Thomas Carpenter Makes It Two for San Ramon Valley
The second San Ramon Valley player making an appearance here is Thomas Carpenter, and for good reason. He picked up a sack and made six total tackles (2.0 for loss).
