Wills Point waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Garland Owls by a score of 37-27. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Owls are ranked 741st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wills Point has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.6 points per game. As for Garland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
