Marion was handed a heart-breaking two-run  defeat in their last  match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Manning  on Tuesday. The Swamp Foxes put the hurt on the Monarchs with a sharp  18-1 win. Considering the Swamp Foxes have won five contests by more than nine  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Kynnedi Jenkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  a single  earned run any time she's  pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Maliyah Williams, who  fired off two  home runs, three  runs,  and three  RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March of 2024.  Jashaya Page was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 Marion was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .586. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Marion now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Manning, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
 Coming up, Marion will head out on the road to  square off against  West Florence  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2  runs per game  this season, so the Swamp Foxes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Manning, they will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Waccamaw at 6:30  p.m.  on  the 30th.
