Basketball Recap: Wayne Christian Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Lex Bowen and Cash Yoder

Wayne Christian Academy lost against Brunswick Christian Academy back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wayne Christian Academy Eagle took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brunswick Christian Academy Eagles. The Eagle have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cash Yoder and Lex Bowen certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Yoder posted nine points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Bowen put up nine points and six boards. Yoder is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

Brunswick Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Phoenix Crews, who scored 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Pierce Saunders was another key player, putting up nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Wayne Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Brunswick Christian Academy, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Wayne Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 45-43 win against CES Academy on the 30th. As for Brunswick Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-25 victory against Victory Christian Academy on the 30th.
