Baseball Recap: Northview Finds Home Field Redemption Against Baker

There's no place like home for Northview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Baker Gators on Thursday, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chiefs have posted since March 13th.

Northview's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Grayden Sheffield, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Sheffield has become a key player for the Chiefs: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-11 otherwise.

Northview's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11. As for Baker, their record now sits at 12-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northview will welcome W.S. Neal at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Baker, they will host Santa Rosa Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
