Basketball Recap: Logan Bauer Key Part of a Team Effort in Aces Win

There's no place like home for Mulberry Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past First Baptist Academy with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 64-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Aces also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mulberry Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Bauer, who posted 18 points and six boards. Those 18 points gave Bauer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jackson Icenogle, who had 17 points and five steals.

Mulberry Grove smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests.

Mulberry Grove's record now sits at 10-16. As for First Baptist Academy, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 10-14.

Looking ahead, Mulberry Grove won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ramsey at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mulberry Grove is facing Ramsey at the right time seeing as Ramsey is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for First Baptist Academy, they will be playing at home against Valmeyer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
