The Reed Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bishop Manogue 86-59 at home. The win was just what Reed needed coming off of a 65-42 loss in their prior matchup.
Reed had a senior duo take command as Tj Coulter went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 42 points and 5 assists and Dominic Williams scored 27 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Coulter has scored at least a third of Reed's points. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Smith, who scored eight points.
Despite the loss, Bishop Manogue still got an impressive performance from Kaden Rowe, who scored 18 points. Veo Dizon was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Reed is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Bishop Manogue, they bumped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reed will face off against Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Douglas is ranked 42nd, while Reed is ranked 35th). As for Bishop Manogue, they will head out on the road to challenge Galena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Galena is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
