Potomac Senior posted their closest victory since January 18th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the South County Stallions, sneaking past 57-54. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Potomac Senior can attribute much of their success to Ryden Rodney Sandy, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 11 points in addition to four steals and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Yusef Navins, who posted seven points and four steals.

Potomac Senior's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for South County, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Potomac Senior Panthers take on the Oscar Smith Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Potomac Senior's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for South County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fairfax at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
