Basketball Recap: Sheridan Hills Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Sheridan Hills Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 46-32 to the Boca Raton Christian Blazers. The Sharks lost against the Blazers in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 61-15 score last time.

Sheridan Hills Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reice Saintil, who posted six points and six boards. Saintil is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Evie Hill was another key player, putting up eight points.

Even though they lost, Sheridan Hills Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive games.

It was another big night for Delaney Cronin, who put up 22 points for Boca Raton Christian. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Cinor, who had ten points.

Sheridan Hills Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for Boca Raton Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sheridan Hills Christian will welcome Parkridge Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Sheridan Hills Christian's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Parkridge Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Boca Raton Christian, they will be playing at home against Olympic Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
