After four games on the road, Gateway Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Portsmouth Christian Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gateway Christian will be strutting in after a win while Portsmouth Christian will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Gateway Christian humbled Tidewater Academy with a 65-33 victory.
Keegan Snyder and Jacob Holestin were among the main playmakers for Gateway Christian as the former scored 20 points and the latter scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathew Johnson, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Portsmouth Christian was the victim of a rough 55-34 defeat at the hands of Christchurch School on Tuesday.
Gateway Christian's win bumped their season record to 4-0 while Tidewater Academy's defeat dropped theirs to 0-2.
Gateway Christian came up short against Portsmouth Christian in their previous matchup back in February, falling 49-44. Can Gateway Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
