The Crawford County Eagles lost against the Taylor County Vikings back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Crawford County had to suffer through a rough 68-7 loss at the hands of Taylor County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crawford County in their matchups with Taylor County: they've now lost nine in a row.
Jakayla Peeples was Crawford County's leading scorer, having posted four points. Peeples held things down on the boards with two rebounds.
Crawford County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Taylor County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crawford County will take on Furlow Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylor County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Upson-Lee at 6:00 p.m. on November 25th. Hopefully Upson-Lee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday.
