Tennyson extended their losing streak  to four  on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They fell  42-35 to the Castro Valley Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the  34-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2024.
Despite the loss, Tennyson still got an impressive performance from   Montrell Rice-Tuigamala, who rushed for 215 yards and two  scores while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Rice-Tuigamala showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 65 yards.

 Tennyson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Leading the way was  James Walker Jr. and his one interception. He also set a new season-high mark in  total tackles with nine.
As for Castro Valley,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-7. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-6 Berkeley and 3-5 Tennyson.
  Ethan Castaneda was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 109 yards and one  touchdown on only 13 carries. Those  109  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.  Sam Galli was another key player, rushing for 62 yards and one  TD on only six carries.
