In what's become a running theme this season, the Notre Dame de Sion Storm gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hogan Prep Charter 68-20 at home. With that win, Notre Dame de Sion brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Notre Dame de Sion found their leader in underclassman Sydney Blaine, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blaine has scored all season. Abby Wendte was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five assists and four steals.
Notre Dame de Sion pushed their record up to 11-9 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Hogan Prep Charter, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame de Sion and Pembroke Hill will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Notre Dame de Sion focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. Hogan Prep Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Belton at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hogan Prep Charter is facing Belton at the right time seeing as Belton is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
