Tippecanoe Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Adamson, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Brylan Alderfer was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Meanwhile, Culver Academies came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Lakers 23-1. Considering the Eagles have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Foster Stockton and Preston Jessen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Stockton tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jessen pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. At bat, Stockton got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and two RBI, while Jessen got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Tommy Kelley was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Schumacher, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Culver Academies kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in seven consecutive matches.
Culver Academies' victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Tippecanoe Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
