Hayden's found some homefield redemption this week after a  overtime loss to Spring Hill on Monday. The Wildcats never let the Piper Pirates get on the board and left with  an   8-0  win. The result was nothing new for Hayden, who have now won five contests by three  goals or more  so far this season.
Hayden pushed their record up to 5-5 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored 24  goals over those three  matchups. As for Piper,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-11.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hayden will challenge Manhattan on Thursday. As for Piper, they will venture away from home to  take on Bonner Springs  on Monday.
