On Friday, Ketchikan take on Valdez . It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Ketchikan took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered Redington 59-14. Ketchikan was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Valdez had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. Last Saturday, they lost to Nikiski by a decisive 28-48 margin.
Ketchikan's lifted them to 1-0 while Valdez's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Ketchikan can add another positive mark to their record or if Valdez can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Ketchikan's step.
