The Millburn Millers will be playing at home against the Ridge Red Devil at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Millburn will be strutting in after a win while the Red Devil will be coming in after a loss.
Millburn proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 27) but on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 win over Watchung Hills Regional. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Millburn has posted since January 17th.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Millburn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zach Benmorits, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Noah Ravitz was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Ridge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 77-64 to South Plainfield. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Ridge came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Tigers are ranked 111th).
The victory makes it two in a row for Millburn and bumps their season record up to 15-5. As for Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
