Wesclin had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with a 61-51 victory over the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians. The win was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Indians/Lady Indians are ranked eighth).

Wesclin pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Carlyle, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-1.

Wesclin will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Father McGivney Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Carlyle and Trico will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
