The Badger Badgers will head out to challenge the Kenosha Tremper Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenosha Tremper took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Badger, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, Badger needed a bit of extra time to put away Elkhorn. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Elks, sneaking past 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Badgers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Miah Butinas spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 15 Ks.
On the hitting side, Badger saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danyelle Challe, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Charlotte Golz, who went 3-for-5 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Kenosha Tremper suffered their closest defeat since April 22nd on Thursday. They fell just short of Franklin by a score of 7-5.
Mallory Meier made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Addison Maika was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Kenosha Tremper has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Badger, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.
Kenosha Tremper's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Badger has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Kenosha Tremper, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.5 strikeouts. Will Badger keep running through batters, or will the Trojans buck the trend?
