The Concordia Lutheran Crusaders have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Antonian Prep. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Concordia Lutheran in their matchups with Antonian Prep: they've now lost four in a row.
Antonian Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyzarriah Fox out in front who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals. Fox has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Copeland, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Concordia Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 24-8. As for Antonian Prep, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 31-7.
Concordia Lutheran will head out on the road to challenge St. Pius X at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Concordia Lutheran is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Texas (they are ranked 256th, while St. Pius X is ranked 755th). As for Antonian Prep, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-42 win vs. St. Agnes Academy on the 10th.
