The Mountain View Mavericks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. The contest between them and Kuna wasn't particularly close, with Mountain View falling 51-34. Mountain View was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kavemen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Mountain View saw an underclassman step up: Quincy Keller scored 14 points. That was a full 41.2% of Mountain View's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Kuna, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-10.
Mountain View will challenge the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagle presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Mavericks in Idaho (the Mustangs are ranked 12th, while the Mavericks are ranked 84th). Kuna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
