Even though Pepperell has not done well against Dade County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Pepperell sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 win over Dade County.
Pepperell had a senior duo take command as Eliot Goggans dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds and Chris Fife scored 14 points along with 4 steals. Kendyl Brewster was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 steals.
Darlington's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pepperell, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Everything came up roses for Darlington against Pepperell in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 63-25 victory. Will Darlington repeat their success, or does Pepperell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
