The Allendale-Fairfax Tigers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Cross Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Allendale-Fairfax had no problem doing just that on Friday. They didn't even let Latta onto the board and left with a 12-0 win.
Meanwhile, Cross came tearing into Friday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Hemingway, posting a 52-0 win at home. The result was nothing new for Cross, who have now won nine matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Cross' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Mungin, who threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Mah?Ky Green was in the mix too, providing Cross with two touchdowns.
Allendale-Fairfax's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Cross, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
