The East Thunderbirds entered their tilt with the Campbell County Camels with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. East enjoyed a cozy 70-55 win over Campbell County on Friday. Given East's advantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Campbell County is ranked 26th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Campbell County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tatum Sorensen, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Rylan Robertson who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. It was the first time this season that Sorensen scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Evans, who scored six points.
East's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Campbell County, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-41 defeat vs. Thunder Basin on the 10th. Campbell County has also already played their next match, a 68-42 defeat against Central on the 10th.
