It was a good run, but the Springs Valley Blackhawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 70-59 to Northeast Dubois. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Deion Edwards and Konner Chase certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Edwards scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Chase scored 13 points along with four steals. Mavric Land was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Northeast Dubois got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adam Dooley out in front who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Goller, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds.
Springs Valley's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Northeast Dubois, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springs Valley will take on Tell City at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northeast Dubois, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Vincennes Rivet at 7:30 p.m. Vincennes Rivet is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
