Denver East owns a 2014 state title and the Angels have been ranked the state Top 25 each year of the 2010 decade to earn the title of Colorado's most dominant high school boys basketball team. The 2014 championship also earned Denver East a No. 10 national ranking in the MaxPreps Top 25.
Sitting behind Denver East are Eaglecrest and Overland, tied for the second slot.
The Raptors grabbed a 2017 5A title along with a No. 23 national ranking, and also earned a runner-up trophy in 2016. The Trailblazers, meanwhile, own 5A titles in 2015 and 2016, the latter earning them a No. 10 national rank.
