Basketball Recap: Seaforth Skates Past Bartlett Yancey with Ease

Seaforth won the last time they faced Bartlett Yancey and things went their way on Friday too. The Seaforth Hawks breezed past the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers to the tune of 68-37. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Seaforth's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Declan Lindquist led the charge by putting up 19 points. Noah Lewis was another key player, earning 11 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Bartlett Yancey's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Newcomb, who posted 12 points. What's more, Newcomb also posted an 80% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaden Carolina, who scored five points and 13 boards.

Seaforth has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points over those games. Bartlett Yancey's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Seaforth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-34 win against Cummings on the 17th. As for Bartlett Yancey, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-45 defeat against Southeast Alamance on the 17th.
