On Friday, The Pattonsburg Panthers faced the Albany Warriors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Pattonsburg took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 50-0 victory over Albany. Considering Pattonsburg has won three games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Pattonsburg to victory were Landon Preston and Gage Iddings. Preston picked up 241 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Iddings threw for 421 yards and six touchdowns. Iddings is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Gavin Humphrey also helped out as he racked up 127 receiving yards.
The win was the third in a row for Pattonsburg, bringing their record for this year to 4-6. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40 points. As for Albany, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Pattonsburg will take on Worth County/Northeast Nodaway at TBD on Friday. One thing working in Worth County/Northeast Nodaway's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. Albany does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
