Even though the Westminster Owls scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, the Winters Mill Falcons still came out on top. Winters Mill pulled ahead with a 56-55 photo finish over the Owls. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Winters Mill.
Winters Mill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Wivell, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Kamdyn Koch was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Winters Mill is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Westminster, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
