Central Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 54-44 win over Peabody-Burns.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jameson Miles, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Philpott, who scored 9 points along with 7 assists.
Central Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Peabody-Burns, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Christian Academy will take on Dighton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Dighton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for Peabody-Burns, they will be playing at home against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
