Basketball Recap: Morristown Falls Despite Big Games from Kellen Crim and Brayden Keithley

Morristown lost against Anderson Prep Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Morristown Yellow Jackets fell 55-47 to the Anderson Prep Academy Jets. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brayden Keithley and Kellen Crim certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Keithley went 8 of 10 en route to 21 points, while Crim posted 15 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave Keithley a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Colin Kieninger, who had seven points and five rebounds.

Anderson Prep Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camron Anderson, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 23 points along with five assists and five boards. Lincoln Fathauer was another key player, going 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and three steals.

Morristown now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Anderson Prep Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

When Morristown and Anderson Prep Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Morristown will try to stop Edinburgh's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Anderson Prep Academy will challenge University and their five-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
